A Physical Geography of Me.

I was tasked to create a book that visualizes my individual story - a physical geography of me. I struggled to choose the right story to tell, but then, on November 2nd, 2020, I was searching through family files and accidentally discovered, at 22 years old, that I am a sperm donor baby. My whole life, I thought I was the biological daughter of my father, who passed away when I was 2 years old. This book, titled Who the F**k is This Guy? is a conceptual representation of my inner dialogue during such a bizarre experience of unpacking what I thought was to be true. The question that lead my conceptualizing was "Who is this guy that makes up half of my physical being, and how can I get to know myself better in this darkly engaging way?

Willed to be. Made by design.

The final product was an expressive piece, printed on 5.5x5.5," white, 80T paper, with warm-toned cover stock. The books was finished with sperm-shaped die cuts, gold ink, and buttonhole binding. There are four spreads that include an exquisite corpse.

Designed in InDesign, photos edited in Photoshop. Content consists of only Knox family documents.
